It's two below.
The snow keeps piling up.
Beneath the window
that gives light into your room.

I wish I was
that light against the snow.
That warms the night.
While you lay sleeping in my gloom.

I don't think I can take this cold.
The ice that builds a heavy load,
upon my heart.

Gutters moan their last regrets.
That spring is far and summer
memories have all past.

I keep standing here and wonder.
If and what I could have done,
to make what we had last.

(big huggsssssss) Such sadness fills your words, sweet friend, may the sun soon come out for you and melt away all the snow and ice of your thoughts and have springs flowers and sunshine bloom in your heart and forever fill you with present happiness! (big hugggssssss) We all love you so much, sweet friend, all our prayers are with you! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Yes, nothing worse than ice upon the heart. I like your imagery and metaphor here. Very nicely done. Hope the heart thaws soon...spring is coming.

Thank you one and all for your kind words. I
have never been published nor read in public and this forum is the first place I tried. SO thank you all again for reading and making me feel welcome.
