Little Bunny Flu Flu started to school.
With her new book bag she felt really cool.
Till Petey Possum made fun of her ears
and LittleBunny Flu Flu broke down in tears.

"Look how long and floppy they are.
And near your tail you've gotta big scar.
And speaking of tails, you've hardly got one."
Then Squirrel said, "Hush, Petey, look what you've done!"

Randy Raccoon said, "What a mean thing to say.
Why'd you have to hurt Bunny's feelings today?"
Petey looked around as all his friends stared
And suddenly Petey felt a little scared.

"I'm sorry Bunny for being so mean,
But that's the coolest book bag I've ever seen.
My book bag is old and dirty
I just wanted one that looked nice and pretty."

As soon as school was out, Flu Flu ran home
Rushed in the house as Mama talked on the phone
"Excuse me, Mama, but I've got a new friend.
How much money's in my bank for me to spend?"

"Slow down Bunny, what do you want to do?"
"I gotta get Petey Possum a new book bag too.
So he won't be sad and treat people mean.
It will be the bestest present he's ever seen."

So Mama took Bunny and they went to the store
They bought a new book bag, left it right at Petey's door
When Petey saw Bunny, he was so glad!
And he couldn't believe that Flu Flu wasn't even mad.
"Bunny, you're the bestest friend a possum ever had."

So Bunny was happy and Petey got his wish
And when no one was looking, Petey gave her a kiss.

Do you have a children's book published yet? This is excellent! I'll be sharing this one.

My dear Poet, I don't know if you have children or grandchildren, but what a legacy of fantasy and love you are gifting them with. Love this. Chris

Midnitesun, No I don't and it's my dream. I have the idea posted on a publishing site for publishers to view. So I wait and watch. Thanks for reading. Cheryl

Noah, I'm so glad you think these are worth publishing. I may have to publish them myself if no one approaches me soon. Thanks as always, Cheryl

Enid Blighton better watch out.
Dr Seus better go back to school
A new look author has come to town
with circus full of books.
wondered where the fairy floss was with this one, could see it with animation, and in the window of Angus's bookstore.

Chris, I do have six grandchildren. They only want to see picture of Bunny Flu Flu. Unfortunately, I'm not artist. Sometimes they listen to me read them when I tie them to their chairs. Smiles! Cheryl

now there was this scooter bum named charlie
and he would do anything, even knarly
for a new scoot if it was named harley

so he saw this cute little bunny there
with a piggy bank in her care
and grabbed her while she screamed "no fair"

charlie and bunny bought that classic tin
and bunny now is his next of kin
serves drinks at night at the "Naughty Inn"

(i dunno..big kid junk I guess)  dug yours though..it was way cool)

I love your Bunny poems, Cheryl...they really should be published as a children's book!

OWG, Thanks so much for reading and replying. I think your follow up is a little advanced for Bunny Flu Flu. She's only six, you know. Now if this narly dude can wait for her to grow up, it might work. Cheryl

Lyra, Thank you. I guess I'm waiting for Publishers Clearing House to knock on my door. Either, they'll want to publish it or I'll win enough to publish it myself. Smiles. Cheryl
