Grieving You

Your life ended early, before it's start
and saying goodbye rips out my heart.
Saying farewell means losing some love
but, saying goodbye isn't saying enough.
Yet, saying farewell is saying too much.

Saying goodbye is what life is about.
But, saying farewell makes my soul cry out.
Saying goodbye spills salt tears of grief.
Saying farewell proves your life was too brief.

Saying goodbye is a stabbing glass shard
and saying farewell is so very hard.
While saying goodbye is such a hell
because, saying goodbye is saying farewell.

We may say goodbye, but never say farewell. For they are always with us in spirit and in our hearts.A sad, but touching write.I remember this feeling too well when my stepdad died.

Put a picture in your heart,
keep the laughter in you hear,
put the memories in your pocket,
and spend them every day of the year.
very nice poem, thanks

Bonnie, your words will touch many, many hearts. So many have lost loved ones way too soon. My brother was 33 and left 5 little children behind. Seven years later, his oldest son died at age 21. I know from where you write. Thanks for sharing. Cheryl

This is such a tender write, full of sorrow and the pain of losing someone dear to you. Words cannot undo the pain, but perhaps can help to soften the sharpest edges. I will send peaceful thoughts your way.

(big hugggssssss) Oh Bonnie, this is so very sad, I believe "goodbye" is the most saddest word of all, and my heart always cries when so many lose someone so dear to them! (sad sigh) My heart goes out to your loss, and I pray that true love and happiness will follow very soon to heal the sorrow and tears! (kiss on cheek) We all love you so much, sweet friend, all our hearts are with you always! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Bonnie, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Bonnie, this is true sorrow.
Very deep ache here. I can relate.
