Windswept Lovers

~*Marge Tindal*~

Across the plains of time indiscreet
his love has caressed the all of me
Upon the throne of barren reign
softly in death he spoke my name~

Felicity Dela Marcaesa comes once more
seeking your key to open my doors
Locks are meant to be broken
when no longer words are spoken~

Maiden of the chambers was I
until the master caught my eye
Took me to his heart-bed
though I knew we'd never wed~

Sixteen years in shadows hidden
for this Prince of man was bidden
to serve his country when the time came
for the crowning glory would be his fame~

But he must have one of more nobility
For him they sought blood lines of dignity
And though he tried to disagree
it was not ... no ... not to be~

So a chosen one was graced
with ring of wed on hand now placed
But he swore his heart was mine
and would be ... for all of time~

I did not care that he had wed
only that he kept my bed
Liaison of infidel minds
leaving beliefs of others behind~

I'll return when morning breaks
to share more of my mistakes
Caught now in the interim
of memories etched of him~

*And here she breathes again~
This mysterious muse from the meadow~

***Thank you ALL SO VERY MUCH~
I know not the where or the 'why' of this muse ...
only what she reveals on each visit~
Perhaps 'together' we will learn more of her musing of mysterious message ??

Marge, great minds have we. I just adore this graphic and your interpretation of it.

I had just joined Passions when you posted this. I'm glad I got to read it.
