Listening to every heart

Quiet Comes – the Soddy, late 1875

There is never a quiet so subtle,
Nor loss so extreme,
That one cannot hear something.

It wakes you when the
Wind dies down toward the grass
To come lay upon it like an exhausted lover.

Some say
That prairie silence is loud, it does not
Remain composed, nor tranquil.

In this peace, though muted,
The hushed beat of a pounding
Heart in wait subtly rushes the ears.

Blood does not coagulate from lack
Of touch, but continues to flow in
Trust, that he will come to warm you again.

Like when he stands with the earth ~ you want him to
Sift his fingers through your hair just as he
Allows the dirt to run through his hand,

You wait for his tears to touch parched skin,
When he finds his axis in you, and
Centers you in soothe.

“Allay your fear,” your heart speaks,
“Peace shall settle serene,” and you ache
For the winds quiet to hush his fear.

Karilea~
There is great beauty in this piece of peace~
