on the horizon of a fairytale

Delicate filo,
layers unwrapped
to reveal me

vulnerabilities
laid to one side
inhibitions
to the other

my heart sequestered
by his abandon,
delve deep
as you unfold me

shine your light
so I may
come out
of the darkness
read me
and all
that I am
and that
which I desire

take me
in strength
prey upon
my senses
seduce me
powerless
as a  willow
in the blows of
winter's breath

You shift from the delicate of phyllo pastry to the lovely sense of onion skin holding your words, a carboned moment of keep...

this is beautiful...

I am used to wrapping filo.  It is my trade...and sometimes my art.  The thought of 'unwrapping'...will take a bit more time to appreciate.  A thought to ponder this time of the night.

Ah yes, there’s nothing like being revealed like this. What a quietly sensuous piece you have written here Annie.

Enjoyed the words, descriptions in this
one, really spun through perfectly.
You have a flare for depth and emotion.

I was captured by the title and held there down the page enjoying every word as it was whispered.  Wonderful Annie!
