Coral Reef Dreaming
By: Noah Eaton
1/16/02

Sail away with me, sweet love
Into the heart of our great barrier reef
We will find worlds we have never dreamed of
Flowing through currents of eternity

Violet embers fill your pastel blue glass space
Polyps of dreams floating about, weaving lovers pearls
Flourescent jellyfish and crystal starfish decorate our place
You make the oceans of my heart a paradise, you are my mermaid girl

Your heart is the rose of my sea
You are the Spanish dancer, swaying seductively
Billowing all of the soft spaces of my sanctuary
Like an angel-fish, weaving halos so lovingly

Streamers shoot out as you embrace me
In my rainbow-bleached ocean of romance
Congregating matrimony in spirit, a birth of felicity
Swimming away, hand in hand, in marriages dance

Sail away with me, sweet darling
Show me the colors of your dreams
You will always be my heavenly mermaid
Kissing your soft luscious lips, together coral reef dreaming…

Lovely images, Noah. Romance filled lines. May you find your sea nymph. Cheryl

Now listen, how did you Noah that I was preparing a lesson on Oceanography? Your poem is much more fun than the lesson!

Hello Noah
I have been fortunate enough to have been to the Great Barrier Reef here in Australia and even though I was only quite young the beautiful images of the reef have stayed with me and your words just helped me relive my experience. The Great Barrier Reef is one of the main reasons we are called "the lucky country" I believe.  We have many beautiful places in our wide brown land and if ever you journey this far Noah, I'd love to show you around.  Take care......Sue

Fess up Noah, did you write this before or after you read my poem "Naked Nymphs"... 'Cause I'd be glad to take credit for lending some inspiration to this fine piece of poetry...lol. Either way, this was just stunning, my dear!
