The heart of you

0 posted 2002-01-16 03:21 PM

That song is playing again on the radio,
The song that I never thought I’d hear.
It takes me back to a time not long ago,
When I held your heart to mine so dear.

It played on and took me back to then,
When all that mattered was you and I.
I got so lost I couldn’t remember when,
When it was that I finally said good-bye.

And so, that song plays again in my heart,
Finally telling me what went wrong.
But, since I can’t get back again to start,
I’ll always be remembering that song.

What light through yon window breaks?  It is the east, and Juliet is the sun.

The realization that the gift of love is never lost, if treasured always, in one's heart.   My compliments, Sir Romeo, on this excellent write.

There is always just THAT song isn't there? *sigh* Amazing, the power of music. Thanks for making me sigh, Sweet Romeo. You have a talent for it.

Music really tugs the heartstrings. A very nice write, Romeo, and I remember a few tunes that kept my heart throbbing over found love, and lost love.

Hello there, Romeo. I am not certain how I missed this one. Unfortunately I have many songs that do this to me. LOL! Its enough to make a person not want to have a favorite song with someone. I often wonder if my love and I have one song or many.

Oh well...I'm rambling when what I really meant to say is that this is sadly beautifully true. Written from your heart, Im sure.

I am many.
