Little Woodsey Nimpkins

~*Marge Tindal*~

If you go out in the Woodsey Forest, don't be surprised to see
Tiny little Faerie Twinkle, catching fireflies for thee
Putting little fireflies in such teensy jars
making tiny little lanterns to spread the light afar~

'Neath the mushroom caps adorn, Faerie Winkin takes a blinkin
While tucked up in a tree stump, another Winkin is a'sleepin
If upon the lawn at night, you see a glow on wing
Rest assured that happiness is just what the Nimpkins bring~

Wee little Sprites have merriment to sprinkle
Across your night in sheer delight
here comes a Faerie Twinkle~

This is absolutely beautiful. *S* The poem and the artwork are both lovely... I want to find that forest and join the napping Winkin... then hug the whole bunch. *S*

If the smile on my face is any indication, the Nimpkins spread merriment and happiness even during daylight hours. *S* Wonderful!

Marge, this is an enchanting picture and it must be wonderful to have a source of inspiration from someone you know personally.  Your words capture the feeling and magic of the illustration very well.  A very well done symbiosis of picture and words.

Good work.

Ah, Marge this is so adorable! What a pair the two of you make ! The gifted poet and the gifted artist! Love, Ellie

I've seen those little Nimpkins, Marge...
They are friends of mine...
Remember, Chipmunks live in the woods and the Nimpkins are our friends.
Your poem is enchanting...I loved it.
