Wild And Free

She wanders unseen through her forest home
not known by blind eyed men that she is there
Thus she has been left wild and free to roam,
the knowledge of man’s laws she's unaware

To live beneath a canopy of green
quiet tranquillity fills heart and soul
Even the nervous doe here feels serene
as together they take evening stroll

Passion for life and living flows in veins
like hot sap in springtime running through trees
Restless urge fills her when feeling warm rains
with caress that heats body by degrees

No longer just the peaceful wood she seeks
but desire for a mate her heart now speaks

Karen Torbiak 2002©

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

(sigh) Sooooooo beautifully said, sweet friend, I know just how you feel...wanting someone to share this entire world with, to grace the forests and the beaches and all the mountains of life! (big hugggssssss) Very soon this love will come to you, sweet friend, then it will be so exciting to see what adventurous love poems you write! (kiss on cheek) We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is gorgeous! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Karen

Oh yes, the call of the wild during mating season.  Your words are beautiful.  I could feel myself in the serene forest looking at the deer.

Karen, this is nature at its best. I see a wood nymph darting through the forest. I hardly ever make a suggestion but see what you think. On the last line of the first verse, I stumbled a little. Does this sound smoother?

Ah to be so free. And yet, even she, longs for a special partner..
This is beautiful, Karen.

This was wonderful, Karen.  Free is good, but can be lonely at times.  We all need to feel loved.  Nicely done.

Karen, this is so beautiful. I love the subject matter....of course, being a chipmunk....I also appreciate your meaning.
The forest is a beauiful, wild and free place, full of creatures who are wild and free also.
Excellent work!
