Escape

I escaped from my prison bed
The malison of sick and dead
And watch the sun in slow demise
From the corners of my eyes

And it died a glorious end
As it slipped around the bend and
Waved goodbye in golden hue
And sank into the midnight blue

I waved my hand in weak and jest
And whispered you’re the very best.
And said a prayer in journeys dare
To bear this night and one more flare.

I think that we are never done
To ask in askance one more one
To flavor of the things we know
Or maybe just to let things go.

It’s time to get me back instead
And face the torments of my bed.

I waited up for you...was gonna go to bed now, rocked gently to sleep by sweet seymour, and it ALMOST HAPPENED!!!

Then ya had to go and bring up the subject of the torments of your bed...SIGH, SY!

(you know I love you in the most respectful way, right?)

But I do understand. I have to wait until I am too tired to torment me anymore...

If the sun were to shine today
travel into the murky fray
to bring the ill to stand again
why, you would know I did, and then

if needed be, some fond desire
I would leave, by warmth of fire
a little bit of mothy wing
just to hear you croak your sing

Serenity,
I wrote this the other day while I was still ill, but I'm really better today and tomorrow I'll write a better bill. *L* Sy

Sunshine,
As I said it's the last of my ill bill. Tomorrow I'll write with Randy's quill. *L*

Have you ever seen a dragon sneeze ...
The fire and smoke will make you wheeze
We've just got to get you feeling better soon
before the fever makes you swoon.

I'll make you some of my raspberry tea
you'll feel better after sipping it with me
Then I'll feed you chicken noodle soup--
we will make that flubug fly the coop.

They say to starve a fever and feed a cold
and garlic is worth its weight in gold.
Ones bedside mannor is the key to getting well
some TLC will make you forget you feel like hell

I'll be your doctor ... I'll be your nurse
I'll calm this curse ... I'll write the cure in verse
You may not get any better ...
but you sure wont mind if you get any worse.

JM,
ROTF
They favored me a high calonic
As a tonic cure for my cronic.
And I said goodbye the demons there
With a trumpeting and a blare of flare.

I can't imagine writing poetry when I'm sick... or even thinking coherently! LOL To know that you wrote this delight when you were feeling miserable makes me even more impressed with your incredible talent. *S*

Glad you're feeling better!!!
