You are the Sun.
You are the Sea.
You are the whisper
inside of me.

The silence of the night
screams your name.
The absence of your light
is my bane.

The clouds shout your love,
and envelope me as a glove,
a custom fit.
Is this what LOVE is all about?
Is this why I scream and shout
your name in my sleep?

Your heart and soul
I want to keep,
next to mine.
My mind has no answers.
Only questions.

Do you hear the same?
Do you cry out my name?
Is my heart within yours
tonight,
My starlight?

Yes!  This is so good I just loved it!  Especially the opening part:

You are the Sun.
You are the Sea.
You are the whisper
inside of me.

I thought that this was just so beautiful, great job!

Thank you, my wonderful Passions family. I am glad that you all seemed to enjoy reading this poem. Those opening lines just fell straight from the sky, I was just the lucky one to catch them and share them. Hugs to all. And a GIANT HUG to Ron and Athena! Without this site, this poem might never have been penned.

" My mind has no answers. Only questions."
I have a question ...
... may I wish upon this fantastic star?

If such words fall from the sky,
I am going to carry my umbrella
upside down for now on.

Another beautiful write Kacy.

Hey, Nancy. Thanks! I've never found Love as easy to write about as Nature, but lately it seems to flow at will from my quill.

Magnus, I remember saying the starlight, starbright verse when I was very little. But by the time I was in my thirties, I stopped wishing. And then all of a sudden one of my old wishes came true! Now I have a wonderful teenage daughter, and lately I've started wishing again.
