~A Love That Can Never Be~  (a song)

Even a mightiest river has humble origins
Reliving a majesty that each season begins
To each puddled start: a fulfilling soft rain
that fills empty basins with a lover's refrain.

One step from sanity, with a dream that's gone
Of no use is a body when the heart is gone
It's a lonely parade, to carry false smiles
Where none line the streets, silence of trials.

Alongside my stride: the haunt of your ghost
ethereal, surreal like moon waves on a coast
Smattering of tears when familiar moments come
Today's Yester-times into twilight succumb.

Chorus:
Do you ever find yourself longing
for a love that can never be?
an indescribable yearning
etched in acute misery.

When will it subside and sleep like the night?
a sleep-weary child who gave up the fight?
Rubbing his eyes, bundling up from the cold
A bravado, now nodding, no longer as bold.

A constant companion: this misty love-shadow
perhaps pointed words were a final deathblow.
Perhaps some paintings are better unbrushed
this heart, always pained, alone yet unhushed.

Chorus:
Do you ever find yourself longing
for a love that can never be?
an indescribable yearning
etched in acute misery.

(Repeat and Fade to End)

Yes, I to know that feeling,
so we fall asleep among the shadows and return to our dreams.

This was lovely SR...deep breath!!

(sigh) I know how you feel, sweet friend, but I know deep down everyone has  atrue love that is emant to be and will forever make you happy! (big hugggsssss) We all love you so much, sweet friend, our hearts go out to you! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet JKF, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

This made me think of contentment and being happy with who you have
and what you have.  I enjoyed this very much.

but WHAT an awwwww gee it is!

WhispersCaress:  Please, do!  it would indeed honor me....thank you WC!

Noah:  dang....that feeling of being apart....how can it be put into words that do the pain the proper justice?  Amigo, i wish you Love.  That's the best wish anyone can wish for another.  Thank you for your kindness.

Irish Rose....you figgered me out already!  It was a bit of thank you for what we have, and a little of 'it takes memories to make a present moment.'  Thankx, kind lady.  *s*

Nancy:  i always enjoy the sporadic visits i make here, thanks largely to the benevolance exhibited by special folks like you.  And don't look too long at the pic,
it reminds me of a wilted salad....yuuuuuch.....

Hey Victoria!  How goes t'ings in Texas?   My guess is that i owe ya's a note,
don't i?  Thanks for saying Hooooowdy!

Duncan:  i know, ami, that we all wish a bit for yestertimes, but that's what makes it precious, wouldnt you say?  You are ultra kind, and thanks Duncan!

They say it doesn't matter what a person looks like but.....Ok, I'll say it anyway...It's nice to see the smile on the face of the one whose words always smile upon the page.

I enjoyed the depth of this tune, SR. Sounds like one Hootie and his little fishies would sing.
