Written for a friend that suffers great turmoil in his life,
he feels defeated by the little he has accomplished when he should
be proud of what he has achieved!

It Matters Not

You live life searching
For what you wish to be
Not happy with who you are
Don’t like what you see

Your life has no meaning
You’re one brick on the wall
Yet without that lone brick
The entire wall could fall

Each life has a purpose
Yes each soul has a goal
Don’t ask for fame in lieu
Of working to be whole

Live life to your very best
Despair not in who you are
When comes your judgment day
It matters not if you’re a star

It really doesn't matter. Best wishes to your friend--and you.

God bless America, my home sweet home.

(big hugggsssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, I can relate to this so well, for I used to feel this way all the time too when I almost sacrificed myself, but now I have learned that I have the magic of love in my heart, and if I can just continue to share it, I will find great joy and satisfaction in return! (sigh) My heart goes out to this friend of yours, and I pray that he will begin to love himself and see what I can see and embrace the light! God Bless You, sweet friend, your compassion shines in your words, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Brian, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

yes, feeling defeated is not a pleasant feeling.  I hope you've shown him this, it's wonderful.

Brian, I hope you show this to your friend!
Have I told you how much I appreciate your writing?
Well...I sure do!

*sigh* the love and understanding in your heart is what makes you such a treasured friend to me. This poem shows all the compassion that comes from a man who sincerely loves his fellow man..that man is you, dear friend. **big hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Brian,
It's true it matters not...but sometimes it feels like it matters greatly. Profound poem.
