In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2002-01-14 06:42 PM

Distant stars once
Of gentle autumn,
Far beneath
Dark shadows
And fallen leaves
Of happiness

Wings flutter
In unknown space, as
November blended
Time transparent,
Lovers fell to

Remembering nights
In silhouettes
Playing on satin walls; now
Watching silence in eyes
Of gray

Was it a move with-in?
Once?

Did you
miss the movement
Of angels?

Playing in the wind

Let rivers of pure
Water pour from
Your chambered heart,
Before the storm
Gathers its rage
And leaves intent
Empty

In between the breathless
Pause,

I am the snowflake
Falling endlessly

Butterfly gentle,
Release and fly
Among spirit

In your mansion
Of dreams

Tomorrow's another day
and I'm thirsty any way
so bring on the rain

You pen your poetry with the same gentleness and precision as an artist brushes his canvas.Like a painting, there is meaning for each that is gifted its view and for each it can be different.Wonderful poem dear friend!!!

Words expressed without deception...Are the beginning of a poem's conception

gentle. . . yes. . . that's what you are. . .

and this is you. . . in words. . . for not even the softest of brushes could stroke so well against the canvas of the heart. . .

forgive my gushing. . . but, you always manage to find the softest images. . . like a dream. . .

Greeneyes - you write gentle words, perhaps this is you what I read. Softly the butterfly, of dreams....

GreenEyes~
You know I love this ...
each penning falls as softly as a brush of feathered verse upon the eyes and ears of the reader~
You are gosh-darned awesome, lady~

You string your words together
with such a gentle and delicate touch.

They are always so refreshing to read.

Thanks~

this is a very subversive poem.

wait a second, allow me to explain first....

the images here are very subtle. they are subversive, because they carry a deeper message than it appears at first glance, and they can affect you without you realizing it consciously.
that said:
this is a beautiful poem, both on the surface, and beneath. on the surface it's reflective and gentle, but underneath there's a sort of melancholy nostalgia that pulls out you.

truly outstanding!!

Well, you know you had me from the title
and yes...your poetry is indeed butterfly gentle on my mind and my heart...
everytime you touch me in places where only the butterflies can go...and each time you do it more beautifully than the time before...your poetry is so very unique and special.heart-hugs poetess L
