Willow's Weep

In the days of legends and fireside chat
when lords were kings and peasants were all that
came a tale of sorrow earning its keep
the age old story of why Willow's weep.

Its said in a kingdom, far, far away
where no one leaves, all the visitors stay
a young lady, a queen in her own right
kissed a poor pauper on a moonless night.

In a jealous fit her first love struck out
one stormy knight, knowing what was about
struck to heart at a wizards willing tree
thy lady, mistook, in love's misery.

Here, forever in her eternal sleep
her pauper's tears are so why Willow's weep.

I really liked this Willow, I love your play on words "night Knight" and your rythm is so good. I loved reading it. The timing was wonderful. floria
