When did you last tell me you loved me?
When did my heart last skip a beat?
How long ago were we both consumed by passion?
And basked in love's glorious heat?

My mind tries to resurface these memories
But they seem to be lost in the fray
Oh how I long to hear 'I love you'
I wish you could say theses words today

You used to live deep inside my heart
The place you took as your new address
How easily I would succumb
Whenever I felt your warm caress

But like an ember that has died in the fire
So have the sparks between me and you
There's such an incredible amount of distance
And love has all but faded from view

The bridges of love have been broken
You no longer seem to care how I feel
Unlike when the time I first met you
When so easily was my heart yours to steal

In denial am I as I sit here
All alone as I stare into space
No love remains here in this cabin
Was I to blame for this gradual fall from grace?

Such sadness here.I'm sure if any of it was your fault it wasn't solely yours. It takes two to make it and two to brake it.I hope you will be happy soon.

(big hugggssssss) Oh Sue, this is so so sad, I know deep down that it wasn't your fault just as it wasn't his, it's just this love wasn't true or meant to be, but I know deep down with all my heart everyone has a true love, and will forever be a resident of anothers heart with a permanent happiness address! (kiss on cheek) So sad but beautiful, sweet friend, we al love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Exceptional writing Sue, and on a topic I am sure so many can identify with, very poignant.

Boy Sue, was that a different kind of write for you.  It was so full of rejection.  You wrote it in such a convincing way too.  I was frightened, nervous and anxious. Great job, your friend, Roger

Sue, sadly heartbreaking but well expressed. You know you've done a great job of writing if all of your friends are concerned and think this is a personal piece. Well written either way. Cheryl
