My neighbor has petunias
growing in the wintertime
I wonder how Mr. Quackenbush does it?
no flowers in this garden of mine

He lives all by himself
and i never see him out
so how did they grow?
grow all by themselves

Deep red, white and purple
a carpet of loveliness
i said..to my husband
"would you look at that
i cant believe he has petunias
growing in the wintertime"

He is the only neighbor on the street
with flowers all in bloom
I think i will ask him
what did he do?
I wonder if he did anything
maybe a little prayer or two
instead of a guardian angel
God thought a garden angel would do

YAY!!! Oh my gosh, that is amazing, I am impressed by how your neighbor can do that! (smiles) Oh my gosh, this is soooooo beautiful, sweet friend, I love petunias just as I love all kinds of flowers! (kiss on cheek) This poem is soooooo wonderful on multiple levels, both of the beauty and visions you create but also the message that prayers and a little love can make anything possible! I love it, sweet friend, we all love you so much, this is by far one of your best yet! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Victoria, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Hello Victoria
I was drawn in by the title of your poem as I am an avid gardener and I certainly wasn't disappointed.
Take care......Sue

Hi Victoria!

I love Petunias, anytime. I've been told that flowers do have spirits. And my wife really knows how to talk 'em into blooming, the way she gets me goin, lol.... So perhaps God does have guardian Angels for Petunias. Or maybe his guardian angel lives there. MMMmmm. Just a thought. Thanks for sharing.

Good first line.  It grabs and holds throughout the poem.  Thanks for the fun read.

This one brings back some memories for me.  My mom always used to plant petunias in the back yard.  Brilliant purple ones.  Very nice work, Victoria.
