A false wind

"See, they are all false! Their deeds amount to nothing;
their images are but wind and confusion." Isaiah 41:29

Is wind just a sense of our true being
Pressure differentials, equalizing?
Is rain just a sense of our clear seeing
Vapor changing gaseous state to dew.

Everything we realize in our flesh
And feel, as forces mesh deep in a heart
Is only sensual feeling exciting a brain?
To understand the rain, not being smart.

When we invent false imagination
What good can come to anything we show?
For we create confusing sensation
And truth we hide to make a heart grow cold.

For all mixed signals come from telling lies
Evil lurks creating false impression
Is this the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge?
Eve ate and shared when she discovered sin?

A false wind.
