Dreamer.

Ah to be up there.
High above the trees.
With a whisper of a breeze to drink.
To lay upon clouds,
Clouds like islands and drift.
To sail upon a sunset that never ends.
So sensual,
Like a carress.

To lose these shackles,
These lungs and legs.
To run with forever and not search for a breath.
To bathe in soul water,
Sweet music,
Warm and wet.
To feast upon laughter
never knowing regret.

The coins from a thirsty desert dreamer,
Make their way down the well.
And if I could I would catch your coins
and take them down.
To where dreams and wishes are found.
And like candy,
I'd hand them all around.

Greg, another welcome to Passions.  My only nit in your writing would be to check your spelling errors...misspelled words seem to trip up a reader's concentration...

otherwise, I like your punch and zest, so keep that going...I think I'm going to enjoy reading you...

Very nice, and probably a welcome image to anyone living where the intense heat and dryness and wild fires can parch the throat and mind. Welcome to Passions.

thank you one and all for your very kind words and welcome.
It makes me feel like I've come home.
Which word(s) were/was spelt wrong?
I am a notorious missspeller

Mauddib~

This is just a wonderfully thoughtful piece~

'The coins from a thirsty desert dreamer,
Make their way down the well.
And if I could I would catch your coins
and take them down.
To where dreams and wishes are found.
And like candy,
I'd hand them all around.

What lovely thoughts~
