Look For Me There
- A Requiem for Richard -
May 1938 - January 2002

Look for me in the
smoke of prairie fires

I am already there

in riffles as the
river flows

I drift

in the blue and white
blossoms of woodland flowers

I’ve been that way too

in golds and reds across
the desert spring

I know these cycles

in blue-green waters as
tides change the flow

I walk that beach

in mountain mists among
high forests

I breath that air

lying deeply quiet as
new fallen snow

I hear a whisper

I came from
all of these

places you know

I have returned

Krawdad,
soft and sensitive, I loved it...I was there!

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

This read like a wisdom's whisper upon the wind ...
very cool poem...I believe you are all these things...and know the reasons.
well done poet sir...nice to sit by your fire
take care

Even thru the darkest phase, be it thick or thin
Always someone marches brave, here beneath my skin
Constant Craving ... has always been.

Krawdad--I came to this through D. Lester Youngs poem about his brother.  What you have written here is beautiful and true.  Peace be with you as these anniversaries come into your life with his memory.

Martie,
You would know, of course, you write so beautifully about it.
Thank you for your comments.
