She lay at his feet
Adorned in Gold
Ebony tresses covering mocha eyes
She lay at his feet
Subservient
Not broken, but content
She lay at his feet
Giving him her all
Because he deserved it and mroe
She lay at his feet
As a part of him
Making him whole
She lay at his feet
Not with worship
But with respect
She lay at his feet
Not trod upon
But lifted up
She lay at his feet
As a lover
Friend, Wife
She lay at his feet
Cherished and Beloved
Safe and Sound
She lay at his feet
Quite simply
Asleep

WOW! How sensitive and cherishing is your love...Poetry sublime!

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Oh, this is beautiful. Enjoyed. Chris

A very lovely poem, JK...it sounds like it could be lyrics for a song.
