“HAUNTING MOON”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
In a moonbeam we met,
together in the light…
Held you closely,
this moonlit night…
Embraced in shadows,
danced under trees…
Your breath I hear,
and rustling leaves…
Sang softly for a while,
a lullaby just for you…
Whispers of passion,
lovers begin their brew…
Haunting moon bright,
speaking to you and I…
As we danced slowly,
entwined, not to deny…
Such romance abounding, if I keep sighing like this I'm going to hyperventilate! Lovely and tender, Bill. A true waltz of the moon--and I'm kind of an expert on moonlight dancing! Enjoyed.
I oftened wondered why the sun wasn't written more about
in romantic terms, it's hotter   but this is so lovely, Bill.
Is there anything more romantic than a moonbeam? I'm keeping this poem, you know.
Bill; This poem is heavenly romantic...I search out the best ones to read to my husband, just to get to see that big grin he gets going!  Ellie
Bill darling boy this is without doubt one of your utter best, you really are getting to be soooooooooo good. The flow and the rhythm are utterly excellent.
What can I say except this is utterly wonderful.
It's all wonderful but these two verses are soooooooo inspiring and picturesque I love them
Sang softly for a while,
a lullaby just for you…
Whispers of passion,
lovers begin their brew…
Haunting moon bright,
speaking to you and I…
As we danced slowly,
entwined, not to deny…
Bill,
I don't know about the haunting bit, but this is very shimmery and glorius.
Bill, this has a fairy tale quality to it. Just lovely and dream-like. This wish of most of us is to be kissed in the moonlight. Cheryl
Moonlight In the Day
Beneath the moon,
I rest these tired eyes,
haunted by the visions past.
If only to forget...
I press a memory to mine heart,
remembrance of another time
when enlightened,
this Lady became.
I embraced thine every word,
reflections of blue in hazel,
of smiling eyes, warming mine heart.
'Twas moonlight in the day.
Captured each breath from thine lips,
tasting each thought
as if 'twasn't enough,
still overflowing with thee.
Lullabyes, whispering notes,
passionate and pure, carry thee,
each night reaching out, dancing me
into the moonlight of dreams.
Lovingly,
Lady Ollyne
