In a waking dream I lay
Upon a swan shaped bed
All gold and silver filgaree
Embroided on its head
Surrounded by such beauty
I sat and stared in awe
Someone spoke my name aloud
And then appeared a hand
Within that hand a red rose
A perfect specimen
I reached to take it for my own
But it's petals fell away
I clenched my fist in disbelief
My heart in disarray
Blood and tears flowed freely
Cut by the thorny stem
I felt I'd lost the greatest gift
I'd ever hope to win
"Not so, my child,"
"Not lost to you
The rose is yet to come
Open wide your heart
Stretch out your arms
And you'll receive your gift
Be ready then to recognize
And you will claim your rose".

peppermint35 - the words below that you have written are just touching... I need to remember them...

The rose is yet to come
Open your heart, open your arms
And you'll receive your gift
Be ready then to recognize
The one who comes to you
Then you'll claim your rose.

Pepper darling girl this it one of your utter UTTER best

The flow the form Oh darling girl YOU are sooooooooooooo good.

What do you mean it doesn't flow? It is as smoooth as silk. How many times have I told you that each has his own beat. The idea of reading poetry, and you know I read a lot, but only the best of course is that you learn others natural rhythms. We all have our own and YOURS is utterly divine. Now stop being so hard on yourself.

I love it, and YOU dearest girl I love to.

Are you energised yet? I truly LOVE IT and these words are the best of all
