Memorable Milestones

If you don’t count my “all of thens”
Or my traveling wheres of whens…
I’ve written more than days I’ve lived
Always finding more to give…

Finding Yesterday’s fond recall
Under cottonwoods and waterfalls
In all my new Tomorrows past
Here among the prairies’ grass,

It was this milestone of turning times
When I stumbled here, heard the chimes
Where life still comes on wind of past
When searching in the looking glass

A responsive bit wrote to you, and you,
A poetic thought fetched to view,
As many roses’ leaves as were brought
Lessons learned, tutorings sought ~

For you, of you, a voluptuous tide
Of fairsome friends and none to hide
One poem a day I thought enough,
But time and tide grew stormy, rough ~

A harbor safe, Sanctum sanctuary
I wrote of rocks, and winsome fairies,
I read more than I thought
Of dragon’s plight, Forget-me-nots

Nannian sonnets feed Mothy hearts
Seas come home, when Ballads start
Devine contraries and Bubbly cries
Songs of Senryu lend Haiku sighs

Saw a Pirate, not two, just one
Then some dreamings came undone
Admired a Kit, then took my place
‘Neath Mysteria’s willow, hands embraced,

Sat with a Lady, Miss Santos and me
Our candles lit to welcome thee
Heard hie and then, comes a Suthern wind
Pepper spiced things among my friends

I’ve been Martiesqued, Loganized,
a little bit of Simonized,
Where the fires still surprise
But never, ever, Marge-inize

I have seen a bit of sad goodbye
And more poetry that’s made me cry
I’ve welcomed home a poet or two
A poet’s world, where we stir the stew

By way of this
I send to Ron
Thanks for this
Poet’s lean-upon ~

I may in this life only view me
As a poet want-to-be
But you’ve allowed my wings to spread
And daily I find my soul now fed;

Did you not see a bit of you
In this poet’s lingering view?
Stay awhile, read some more
Words shall come to your door

In a poetic bit of reverie
Where words might fall easily
Who knows?A few more may find
Lovelies left to each in kind,

I’ll be around reading you,
Letting you know I love you too…

I have read this thread and stopped at Olias's "a wanna be you could never be!" as I feel that we are all a bit of you for your words have such impact on us!  With each and every posting you show more of your wisdom, talent, caring and loving ways, with a touch of a lesson always in there somewhere.  But I will say this, when you reach a milestone you certainly do it with "pizazz"!  What an honor it is to "know" a bit about you Karilea through your poetry, and one day when you get published I will say, "I read her when....", and yes, reading this I smile from ear to ear!  Congratulations, and also thank you for all your efforts in Passions, and the encouragement and support you give everyone to be better, by being a good example of what poetry is, should be, can be and what it can do for your soul!
Sister of my heart, I am so proud of you this day, can you tell?
Oh, I almost forgot; someone else wants to congratulate you too.

Congratulations Karilea

I'm a bit late in congratulations but you are such an important part of the forum.
I've know I've changed since I've been here, believe me.  IT's been a life changing experience.

Thank you for all you have done.

Just a note of thanks to all of you who have inspired me, and believe me when I say, if I read you...you inspired...

Passions is indeed THE home of poetry...where those who truly have a desire to write, stay long enough to learn, and the best give their all...and keep on giving...

my desire to learn is deep...I shall be around for a long, long time...

Before I even opened the poem, I was pondering the title... and thinking of the many memorable poems you've written that have become milestones... or perhaps touchstones *S*... for your readers. You always do find more to give... and we lap up every drop thirstily... as you feed your soul, we feast. *S*

This is beautiful, Sunshine... WE owe YOU the thanks... once again. *S*
