I'll Remember I wish I could hand to you that moon that I could've sworn you hung yourself I pray God will repay you in ways no soul could ever give It's your ability to capture the broken with just a simple smile Only an angel has the kind of light to lend us this... Finally, good fortune walks my pace And, destiny decided I've lived the storms long enough But, if I had a million angels to call on in this lifetime I would have still chosen you to pick me up... If I wasn't meant to feel heaven here on earth, I somehow can If I wasn't supposed to know freedom, I do I like to think you are my reward for withstanding the storms So, understand if your light is just too bright to ever forget you... I dreamed, but it's you that saved me when I needed the most Somewhere in the middle of my rain grace left it's mark I may make my stand leaning on your strength, the only kind I've known But, I'll remember the path you've so generously paved to this heart... Cause, without you, there's is no real me in this world So, I'll remember only my journey and what the miles have meant I'll be so gentle to my new memories as they pass me by And, I hope you'll receive every bit of my thankfulness continually sent... Just be open to the winds and when they blow think of me And, remember their direction makes no difference at all For, I'll remember with each gust a reason that I must Rise to the only one who would catch me should I ever fall... I'll remember the man who taught me how to really sing Can't help but love his music and the sound it brings If all should be gone someday before I ever wake At least I smiled; I saw his face... ~ I'll Remember ~ Sauni @~~~>~~ |
