My plant zoo

We need a romance with green growing plants,

To eat poison gases lurking inside
Carbon dioxide, and formaldehyde
Airborne bacteria, viruses, fung…
…i, making our bodies so sick inside.

NASA experiments showed spider plants
Would clean a room of eighty-five per cent
Of its formaldehyde in just one day
God's natural clean air filtering way.

I'm encouraged to learn, my plant friends yearn
For a breakfast meal on bad air that flies.
A leaf's waxy surface catches these guys
Like a spiderweb catches little flies.

So mother you win! Just fill up my din
Get Boston and tree ferns, spider plants, thin
Bamboo palms and birds of paradise, true
Elephant-ears and philodendrons, too.

And flowering banana plants for you
In our garden of houseplants, my plant zoo.

newel,I have absolutely no talent for plants. My boss man`s father died 5 years ago and he brought a plant to the office.Somehow I have kept that plant living even today.I think his daddy is looking out for it from heaven.

Silver Streak,
All true, without them we wouldn't be here. Enjoyed the read.

Yes, Juanita, I believe that God does look out for us and our plants, when we love them. And his plants do soothe our soul as well as help us breathe!

I believe that every bit of life is God with us. I believe that like animals, plants also have spirits. My wife does magic with plants. She talks to them, sternly tells them to grow pretty and compliments them on their new leaves and blossoms. And they listen to her!

Thank you for your comment.

Don't forget that some plants need Sunshine. I think yours will get lots of it. Reckon? Thanks for your kind words.
