Dare To Believe

I streak the sky on phantom wings
To cut the clouds soft face
I soar where eagles wouldn’t dare
To greet the darkest space
How tranquil Earth does look from here
Such peace I do perceive
The magic of its gentle twirl
Centuries does it weave
Such freedom does this gift bestow
What majesty I view
All colors of the spectrum’s light
This prolate does imbue
If we could all be graced this view
Then see the way it grieves
I think that we could heal its woes
If we dared to believe

Brian,  I don't know where in Northern Ontario you are, but I grew up traipsing through there.  I have family near Espinola, Sudbury and the Sue.  I remember th ebeauty of Rainbow country and your poem brings it back to me.

Beautiful work.  Good to meet you.

Please look for a piece I will put up reflective of my memories of the Muskoka Lakes region.  Your input especially would be very valuable to me.

I'm adding you to my library.

I love your poem and yes, we can soar and achieve our dreams if we only believe and have faith in God and ourselves. I was taught at a young age that I can be what ever I want to be in life, achieve any goal, if I'm willing to work hard for what I believe in. This is a great poem.

I haven't read any of your poetry before, but I'll be on the lookout now. You had a great flow and rhyme here. Nice images too...loved this!

God bless America, my home sweet home.

I soared with you on eagle's wing
through clouds amid the sky
We heard voices of nature sing
bringing a heartfelt sigh

I saw the beauty God had made
to bless our lives today
Weeping to see that we betrayed
fills me with great dismay

*sigh* you know that this poem touched the very soul of me...I love nature so much and to see what we have done to it hurts....This poem brought all the beauty of what God created for us to life for me. Thank you, so very much, Brian. **big big hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Brian,
Beautiful passage. Tranquil soaring through the stillness of space. Very well done.

Brian, this one soars with the heart and soul of Mother Earth. Thank you for the imagery, especially this:
