Lips Of The Eclipse
By: Noah Eaton
4/14/01

A lonely full moon towers aloof
A woman stands beneath the midnight silky skies
Idyllic desires silkening yearning eyes
Beryl tears humming soft wishes in the night

Paying her blessings to her stepmother from above
Letting herself heal in Her cotton bosom
She holds true to the love in which she dreams from here on
To turn her dreams into magic, and embrace her destined love

Eternity’s cycles revolve around her like youthful hurricanes
Waiting as the days get closer when the full moon whispers off into fantasy’s horizon
To touch the heart of the man she has longfully desired and imagined
Reincarnating to a new full moon of joy, true love that never fades

“O’ dear stepmother, open thy windows to the one I desire!” she would say,
“To you I cast the robin forth to declare my love most righteously
Wings of light shalt fear not the black satin fate that leads me to my darling
I sing my prayer forth to you, my mother of light, a heart as sweet as sugarcane!”

This dear woman cries out to her maternal regisseur, teaching her of the purity of love
Dancing in grace as her faith leads her to him, making the faithful arabesque to destiny
To the day when her mother smiles in eclipse, to see the heavenly embrace with true love she had dreamed
The lips of the eclipse speaking, marking the eternal joining of two hearts as one

Nice love story here Noah, a touch too prosaic at times, in my opinion but done very well

Dear Noah; I love the way you have created and old world romanticism here in this amazing poem! For this incurable romantic, this is food for the heart! Sigh! Hugs, Ellie
