The Space Between
By: Noah Eaton
1/10/02

You came to me so lovingly
You are all I've wanted to love and hold sweetly
There's no shortcut through destiny
But I want you so badly, sweet love

The space between
Our singing hearts
Uncertain what kind of bridge we'll connect to each other
The space between
Pleasure and pain
I just want to have you and fill your every hearts desire

But will I ever get to have you?
Will I ever have you?

In my dreams you seem so real
You have everything I dream of for a lover
Writing poems to each other
Talking happily and lovingly to one another

But will I ever be the one?
To hold you and love you dearly
This survival of the fittest in passion I dare to cross
The space between
Pleasure and pain
I just want to have you and fill your every hearts desire

But will I ever get to have you?
Will I ever have you?

Look at me now, I never want to lose you
I'm just a scared Romeo warding off my enemies to hold you
Only time now can ever judge whether we'll be together...

The space between
Our hopes and dreams
We hold each day, crying to be held in loves arms
The space between
Faith and fate
Warring constantly for all our lives
All we sacrifice
Just for each other
Only hoping that nature doesn't play cruel tricks on us
The space between
Pleasure and pain
I just want to have you and fill your every hearts desire
Hang on to faith
Let's have faith that our love is true...

The space between
Tears and fears
Where I cry on and on pleading to hold you
The space between
You and me...
Hope is all we ever need
And we can make our love be true forever...
I believe in it...
I believe in it...

There is a thin line between faith and fate when in love...just like love and hate..i think when you are in love you experience every feeling in the world..bad and good..from jealousy to forgiveness...love is a strange bed fellow

Noah - you always write so many beautiful words, whether your poems are happy or sad. My friend, you are indeed a great poet...

Beautiful poem, Noah. Thanks for sharing it, my friend. There is no space between friends in God. They are together in Christ. I send you God's Love.

Noah - I had to read this just because of the title.  I am a big fan of the Dave Mathew's Band song the "The Space Between".  I must say your words are just as good.  Great writing.

Dave
