Nose hairs...what is their purpose?
I was wondering
I discovered, after some reading
and pondering

nose hairs...
trap the boogers in your nose
by a medical encyclopedia, I was told
especially when you have a cold

nose hairs...
are filters to keep your face dry
when your nose starts to run
or when you cry

nose hairs...
look so ugly,
if you scoff
go get a scissors
and cut em off

Lyra,
See now...some things are better left alone. I suppose next it will be ear hairs or maybe eyebrows or ...Oh, sorry I'm showing my age. I gotta go now...

Thanks for the reply, Larry.  You might not believe this, but the companion piece to this one is called "Ear Hairs".  I wrote these some time ago, and if I can dig it up, I'll post it.

Thanks Dave, but I thought you were too young to have nose hairs....only old people get those.....only kidding!
I think that even babies have them.
Glad you finally got to read the poem, though!

He he he......Oh, so that's what they are for?  I hate nose hairs, nasty things.  Great poem, I enjoyed it!
