Invoking the brightness,
Laughing Moon rises
like prayer smoke
upon the fires of her lodge.

Chanting, "I am the shawl dancer,
the high kicker in the Moon's
dreaming.Color me laughing,
paint me joyous."

Hungry Wolf looks on
smiling night dreams
into existence, cross-stepping
around fingers of light,
enfolding Laughing Moon
in arms of bronzed muscle.

Invoking the night...becomimg
their prayer chant together.

He extolling the virtue,
the softness of Laughing Moon.
She singing the mounting desire,
the deep love of Hungry Wolf
for his dancing woman, his
joyous wife-spirit. The joining
whispering their names, invoking them
to exchange hearts and souls
as they lose themselves
in the warm comfort, the sweet
union...of their marriage bed.
