Order in the court!
Black robed men of law convene,
bringing justice to bear;
how real tribunals stay on recess
they don't declare!
To the seat of the annointed
witnesses approach and sware
their faith in the system they declared.
Judges, they say are so obsessed
to apply her majesty's rulings
a mastery of civil skill
to have defendants bear their cases.
but real courts stand recessed!
The law around is not impartial?
there are those who'd buy
their weight in justice
if only it would come,
but the truth soon is undone
as the real courts stay recessed.
Ah, how the olive banch
bears insisting thorns!
and those who wore such prickly hats
and led their followers to abstain,
were refrained.
In centuries unfolded
real evidence once revealed
is soon concealed
as families try to heal
their ordeal;
who'd be detained is now set free
on a bargain plea?!

We hear of overcrowded jails...
how the system fails
is it better to short sentence
and avoid any penitance?
or should I shut my eyes and ears
hear no evil, speak no evil..
and salute real courts on recess!!
I'm wanting to see constructive labour
exacted from the guilty
who the law has favoured!
I'm sick of seeing punishments
neatly repealed
and former judges with mouths well sealed

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Martin, I know just how you feel, it is so sad to see the system being manipulated, and I pray with all my heart we can make the law more reasonable and better serving us all! (sad sigh) So sad but well-expressed, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martin, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

I agree with you, Martin.  There are entirely too many corrupt judges!  I wonder how anyone can get a fair trial in this day and age.
Well done!

When I see a head of state becoming foreign minister too and remain un accountable for money laundering, I wonder myself.
