Listening to every heart

0 posted 2002-01-09 10:15 PM

Blame it on my new muse, my Fairy Laume, but melodic sounds are heard, as thoughts of my mother come to me, and I would share this again with you...

Touch the Keys

black and white
sit alone
and separate

until you

touch the keys
like dipping fingers
into milk
and slowly, tenderly,
making breeze

touch with me

feel the ease

slowly glide your gifted hand
across the keys of life
pick me up and lift me in
and ease me of all strife

touch with me

fingers that carry
the stained and strained, carry
refrain,
accomplish the gain

zephyr along the gift of day
long into the night
Rachmaninoff me away

touch me

and hear the music

touch me

and feel the notes

touch me

see what you've wrought
deep within your rote

touch me
like the keys of bone

touch me
unlock the stone

touch me
to be yours alone

touch me

candlelight shall grace the gift
of the music of your lift

touch me

and in the silk and satin day
touch me as you shall play
Tschaikowsky me in E flat waltz
and play me never false

touch me

fingertips dipped in midnight cream
under bright of moon light's beam

and in this touch of E
in the key of me

a rhapsody
sublime

in the song
of
Karilea

My goodness - this itself is a masterpiece!  I love the style, creative phrasing and sentiment that flows in this. It's refreshing to read your poetry again.  This is beautiful, and perhaps one of your best

Take care,
Melissa~

It seems to me that Karilea
Would be a full-blown symphony
To fill the night with melodies
For he who touches all her keys.
Play on, dear lady, fill the night
With sounds of orchestral delight
And live your days in harmony
With he who touches Karilea..

So I got inspired! So...???

Will "oh my" do? This was exquisite, and love Michael's response, your name almost seems like it should be sung.

Sunshine - Music, especially piano, certainly does move you.  Really liked subtle innuendos drawn between the playing of the piano and feeling of passion for another.  Nicely done.

This musical themed piece is itself music to the ear.  This poem speak and you've done a good job of formatting and line arranging to make the music play brighter.

Sunshine, what a beautiful metaphor! I'm really touched. Only God could make such beautiful music, through you.

This is quite neat!  You touch us as you ask to be played.  Very sweetly written, Karilea.
