The days are shorter and the nights grow long
with very little sanity,I fight to hold on
My heart beats faster and my breath is short
Is life worth living or should I just abort

With my thoughts filled with sarcasm and gloom
I notice the little seed I planted, just starting to bloom
A smile appears on a very disgusted face
maybe getting up in the morning is not such a waste

The growing seed speaks without saying a word
I swear its the sweetest voice I've ever heard
My journey goes on and my quest is clear
The words I love you daddy,is all I need to hear

Sounds like the winter blahs have got a hold of you, Stevie.  Thank goodness for Chase and for your little plant!
Just think......only 2 and 1/2 more months of winter....its a good thing you don't live in Michigan.  Believe it or not, we NEED those winter clouds to hold the WARMTH IN...and by warmth, we mean anything above freezing.
So, my friend Stevie...next time you feel blue in the winter...just remember, it could be much worse.  You could be in Michigan.

At least chase would be able to build lots of snowmen and snowwomen...theres enough snow here to build entire extended snowfamilies.

Stevie,
Not sure you meant 'mourning' or 'morning', but it works both ways. Very good write sir . Hope you helped Juanita with the snow shoveling. We need to team up and take on the wenches again sometime.

Stevie,a child can work wonders I know because I had you didn`t I? The beginning of this was a little scary thinking that life might not be worth living. But I really cherished the ending.I think Chase can put a smile on anyones face. But as you`ve said before he took after his daddy.

Love,
Mama

Stevie, How great to read one of your poems again. I missed that. This one is terrific. Just like Mama, I was a little nervous at first, then you pulled it out. Yes, sometimes a child is the only thing that keeps us going. Believe me, I speak from experience here. Take Care. Cheryl
