Keen Recall

My shawl draws o’er in Ginseng Sea
With rapid tea of memory,
A bit of then to go with now
As I drift back upon your vow.

Lord, you loved me in forever ways…
And touch? This skin shivers in warmest May
And blue? Bless me to see those eyes again,
Lord, you loved me in forever’s when.

Fingers traced the blue-veined lines,
Blood simmered in hear of mine,
Then you allowed my senses race
When you held in palm this face.

If I close my eyes, I’m blessed
To feel again your strong, hard chest
Against this cheek now lined by time,
Yes, blood simmers in hear of mine.

Is this but an echo’s dance?
To feel again this blessed romance,
Believing that neither time, nor tide,
Would have kept you from my side.

Does not the wind carry my plea?
Or are you deep beneath the sea,
Where waves of passion caress your soul
In a deep saltwater grave below…

My shawl draws o’er in Ginseng Sea,
This rapid flow of memory,
A bit of then to go with now
As memory drifts back to vow…

Lord, I love you in forever ways
Your touch shivers skin in warmest May
Bless me to see those green eyes again
Lord, I love you more now, than then…

This stopped time for me while I read it.  That's a fine feeling!!!!!!!!!!

Lady, this is very good, it brings to mind a lone figure on a widow's walk staring out to sea. A pot of tea on a small table inside. Very well done, I enjoyed..Dusty

Lady you have penned this across my heart....This is pure romantic poetry in motion
and the reason I crave your classic style of poetry....
you write with a feather light grace that floats gently upon us...then carries us on your breeze of rhyme divine...and this is indeed divine...
(IWIHWT) ... Im claiming this one for my own...I hope you dont mind....but how can I not when I felt every word ... warmed in its light.
consider this reply afterglow   *smile*

I ask why you come here, you say just because
Could I live without it if I knew what it was
But it really dont matter when you look at me that way.

Lady such beauty is too rich for every day, this is utterly utterly beautiful. As graceful as a swan swimming across a lake.

Truly outstanding writing do I love this? Is the earth still spinning on it's axis

Ah, this is most beauteous, lady.
And creative
"My shawl draws o’er in Ginseng Sea

Ginseng sea, what a thought. You have such intriguing moments placed in the middle of a poem of love lost.

This is exquisite in its rhythm and rhyme.  You have grown in so many ways.  I hope the person for whom this was written takes the time to reads this exceelent poem, and takes it seriously, for the message is clear.

This was as deep as the sea to me and as elusive as the waves touching the shore. Amazing wealth of vision and feeling within this verse dear Lady. Carried by all elements. Flowing in perfect harmony.

Sincerely,
Regina
