What Freedom Has
By Larry Chadwick

Freedom has a home,
That it may harbor you.
Freedom has a heart,
That it may comfort you.

Freedom has equality,
That it may empower you.
Freedom has free speech,
That it may listen to you.

Freedom has its rights,
That it may delight you.
Freedom has its laws,
That it may challenge you.

Freedom has its price,
That it may remember you.
Freedom has its heroes,
That it may honor you.

Freedom has wings to go on and on,
Going where only eagles dare to soar.
Freedom has talons to go on and on,
Protecting where all may dare for more.

Larry darling boy what was this doing so far down with no responses? Sometimes these pages move too fast. Never mind I've found it and am boasting it to the top.

This is an amazing piece of writing, truly outstanding. Full of love and truth, because only with love and truth can Freedom live.

Utterly utterly fabulous darling boy great work

Love and warm stuff

Mushy,
Ya' know you are getting real deep into my heart. Thank you...thank you. I was starting to wonder about this one. The eagle line was in my head when I woke up this morning and just had to use it. Love ya' babe!

Do not just keep this for July 4 - all days honoring the Vet, Memorial Day, December 7...

all good days to see this one fly high...

I like this very much, Larry. *S* Appreciating what we have... and remembering those who sacrificed so that we might have it... is appropriate anytime. *S* Well written!

Everyday is the day for praising the freedom we so often take for granted.  Good one, Larry!
