Grains of sand, moved through time,
taken into the depths by soft waves.
Similar, though different from love.
Two joined, joining the grains of sand.

Soft gentle sways of moments treasured.
Strong pushes from times of trouble.
Still joined, two never pulling apart.
Grains of love floating together as one.

I think of those microscopic particles
each day of our lives we both share.
Immersed in a sea of countless grains
finding the other through rolling waves.

Our lives have become likes sand.
Ever flowing through an hourglass.
A huge pile of memories in the bottom
as countless more join from above.

If asked what size my hourglass is...
I would simply and quickly reply..
As large as the ocean of all the world.
For our memories flow endlessly.

Though an hourglass would ebb and stop.
Our’s will refill and continue to flow.
For as each grain falls, another replaces
as new memories come in with the tide.

Excellent content and flow ...
timeless indeed.
I have always thought grains of sand
to be useless and abrasive,
an oversight on my part.
A moment well treasured.

Marsha...I am worried that IF by some chance
I write something truly awesome...you might
take up the entire web with what you post in
your reply....Then all of PiP would be mad
at me... (kidding)
