An Unexpected Departure
*~*
I could see the tears,
His face in sudden fear,
Never had I seen him so white,
Feeble, pathetic,

This was not him,
But what could it be?
Where had he ventured?
Where had he cut his ties?

The cooing mother could not soothe his fear,
His own mind was in oblivion,
He was lost,
Only inside he may be,

Guidance was never there,
And love was always somewhere else,
He's off again,
Probably never to return,

Maybe love was hard to find,
But I always loved him,
I will pray that he be safe,
And that he finds love someday in his journey

This has the quality
of a mother's tender
mercy, with a soft
prayer that her own
shall always be safe,

or so how it sounded
to me...
