They travel like blood brothers
in sync with each other
protecting each others back
confidential thoughts in unison
like a well oiled chain
rescuing those in danger
for emergencies they are trained
haunting eyes in the darkness
patroling enemy swamps
watching and waiting
like a panther in the dark
waiting to pounce
as they quietly embark
they do not think of themselves
while performing their mission
performing their tasks
with confidence and ammunition
for their families and them we pray
the Special Forces
Navy Seals and Green Berets

This reminded me of a dear friend of mine, who, lost many during the Viet Nam war,
and although they were not real brothers, he weeps still, remembering the closeness they felt.

Yes, and the other Airmen, Marines, Sailors, and Dogfaces.  God bless them and keep them safe to return to their loved ones!

Indeed, they are all in
our prayers...and no one should
ever forget that theirs is not
an easy task.

Such a sweet poem to praise those fighting terrorism, which ceauses fear and death throughout this world.  I couldn't be happier to see these people doing a great job overseas.  I am in the NAtional Guard, and I can understand the point that they are in.  I am so proud of my thousands of brothers fighting for us to live more peaceful lives.  Great write, I really enjoyed this.

It's a good thing, to give these people credit, and you have done it in a lovely poem.
