She's My Sunshine
By: Noah Eaton
1/8/01

She's my dream
She's my delight
Her eyes are emeralds
She's my sunshine
I would give anything
To hold her close
She's who I
Need the most

She's the sparrow of my heart
With milk silver wings
She's what makes my heart
Rejoice and sing
She's my silver lining
In my sky
She's my angel
She's my life

What must I do?
How can I pull through?
I need you
I need you
She's my sunshine
I need her love to stay alive
Please don't take my sunshine away
My heart can't bear to die…

She's my Madonna
Van Gogh deep inside of me
She spans the romance
Of all the centuries
She's my red rose
She smells so sweet
She means the heavens
To me…

I'm all alone
When I'm not with her
I can't turn away
I can't surrender
I love her too much
But we live so far apart
I don't know where I'm going now
But for your love I have to travel so far

What must I do?
How can I pull through?
I need you
I need you
She's my sunshine
I need her love to stay alive
Please don't take my sunshine away
My heart can't bear to die…

All this time I sigh and sigh
How I can take her hand and make her mine
All this time I cry and cry
If I can make it alone through another night
All this time I try and try
To embrace my angel, and into eternity we can fly…

What must I do?
How can I pull through?
I need you
I need you
She's my sunshine
I need her love to stay alive
Please don't take my sunshine away
My heart can't bear to die…
Don't take my sunshine away…

Noah, so hauntingly lovely and sad. An emotional love poem that speaks of hope and heartbreak. I enjoyed this very much. Cheryl

Noah, this is a two tissue box piece.  I want to sob for the loneliness and ache in this poem.  Very nicely done.  I hope the wait is not long.

Sometimes love hurts, Noah...but you have turned it into a lovely poem.
I hope things get better...remember, when there is love...there is hope.
Good luck!

"She's the sparrow of your heart
With milk silver wings"

A gentle touch of tiny feet
A spread of her wings
Causes flutters and tremors
Deep within...

Your poem is so sad. I hope nobody has to go through that kinda feeling. Imagine a world without sunshine, it is lifeless.

Oh such a lovely, wonderful statement to the love, and the many hurts, and conflicts that can come with really loving someone. There is also room for growth here. And that is seen in the wonderful expression of your poem. I love it....

You will one day take her hand my friend, and I can't wait to see it happen, you will be so joyful.  Awesome write Noah, I loved it, was beautifully written.
