If I sat and typed forever
Just hoping it was good
Would I best the chimpanzees
On my antique Underwood

If I sucked each molecule
And breathed in all the vapors
I could get some good ideas
From all the Liquid Paper?

It would just be incidental
Because I’m banging every key
With my head, hand, and toes
And whatever’s close to me

The ribbon is running out
And the ink is lookin’ funky
Soon they’ll come replace me
With a robotic typin’ monkey

Someday they’ll find this poem
In a pile of lesser reads
They’ll declare I was a genius
For its proof, I was indeed

wayoutwalt,
the last line was deep and meaningful... but I don't think you can say it in public.
funny write, at least they weren't brass monkeys.

You are a genius, Walt.
Now what happened to that little monkey smiley that looked like a dried up little...?  Seriously, I loved it!

Well you reminded me of something I thought was interesting on tv a little earlier...a man had trained a chimpanze in martial arts...in this case a monkey will be wearing a belt...James

Walt, there is no "robotic typin' monkey" that could replace you ... not by a long shot. Your creativity is endless. Thank you for the depth and thought that is behind these delightful lines.

Best wishes,
/Kit
