In The Kokapelli's Song

Until the stars grow dark and there is no more day
And the moon fails to escort the night on its arm
Until icy topped mountains kiss sandy soft beaches
And clouds become pillows beneath cloverleaf charm

When the air catches fire and the seas dry to dust
And the sun oversleeps, orange succumbing to gray
When earth unfolds her hands, cradling coldness within
And the wind smothers silent the thunderclaps spray

Only then will I love you
Any less than today.

Heather this is utterly fabulous, I'm loving the poems that are coming in. They are all so beautiful

Each time I think nothing could be better and each time the challenge poem knocks me flat out with it's wonder.

Absolutely fabulous writing, I love it
Into my library with all the best poems, and the poets that I keep there churning out beauty just for me. So if you're ever wandering down the halls and you hear a faint whiplash echoing by, just ignore it love. It's nothing to be concerned over just me getting some extra work out of my poets. I wouldn't need to beat them if they didn't make me cry. (See what happens when you end up on the 'Crying List')

Love and warm stuff

Heather,
This is beautiful.
"And the wind smothers silent the thunderclaps spray" is a great line.
