You no longer want to be my man
Watching you walk away, my heartache began
I asked if we could be friends
but you said it wouldn't make sense
With that you turned your back
You look at me with eyes of coal jet black
Now I'm freezing from the cold shoulder
I guess you meant it when you said it was over
A goodbye kiss is my final wish
You just stand there not returning the kiss
Begrudging me of once more bliss
Nothing I do or say will work
You're the strong one, leaving me the hurt
The mirror of me shatters all over the floor
The crunching of your shoes fills the air
As you head for the door
It is so like you to make a mess
I'm wallowing in depression, you could care less
I'm subjected to your sudden rath
Crying over you, soaking in my eyes bath
I see now, those tears should have been saved
Your not worth crying over for countless days

RP darling girl yes you're right not worth crying over but ohhhh doesn't it hurt when it happens

I wrote you this............ don't suppose it will help but it does remind us not to forget the lesson

I’ll Never Forget

I’ll never forget you I couldn’t, wouldn’t try
Because I learnt from you how a soul can die
I learnt that love can feel good but cut deep
I learnt from you that dreams belong to sleep
I should have called a halt to what we had
As soon I saw our love turning bad
The apple of love was rotten to the core
And it left me with a wound deep and sore

I wouldn’t forget you I shouldn’t want to
Because I learnt the way a soul is untrue
I discovered how faith could blind my eyes
And make me deaf to fears or hopeless sighs
How I believed that if I gave a little bit more
I’d be able to pick my heart off the floor
I kept on hoping that something would be
But found nothing changed unfortunately

I’ll not forget this I’ll need to remember you
Because I learnt that a heart can turn blue
I learnt of the way some souls break apart
And how others can torture and punish a heart
I need to recall just how this came to be
How I was broken and cried piteously
I’m not going back to that pit of despair
So I need to remember how you put me there

Marsha

And darling girl your writing is as wonderful as you are. This is absolutely full of heart, I can feel the pain you felt.

Sadly you were hurt, but you are also right that the hurt is not worth hanging on to. Just keep your eyes straight ahead and don't look back.
There's always something good on the other side of sorrow.

I loved it, but feel bad for you....
Things will look up soon... Please put a 'w' on the front of wrath....and don't cry anymore, He really isn't worth it.

Oh Joanna, such a sad poem from you makes us all sad.  I hope you are soon in better spirits with your true love in joyfulness.  I could not think of one who could do something like this to you, you are just so sweet.
