Like sunshine in a window
Where there was once a darkened veil
A river in the wilderness
running through a long dry trail.

You came to me bright and strong
smiling to soften hardened eyes.
Those cynical fires that make ash of hope
Are extinguished between your tender cries.

A soul so old, in a body still small
A gentle tender kiss in the breeze.
You have shown me a truth, once lost for good
Forever my heart will love with ease.

love mom

I can't control
my destiny
I trust my soul,
my only goal
is just to "be"

You have a lucky daughter, Angelbear...
This is a beautiful poem and speaks of your special love for your child.
As I mother and a grandmother, I can identify with this feeling.

This is so sweet, gentle and loving.
I'm sure for Kayla it will become a keepsake.

This is a very touching poem....I have a baby daughter as well, and her name is Kaila too.....Just spelled a little different.

Well, I say baby...she will be 6 this Thursday (WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE?)

Thank you all for such sweet replied. It is so nice to have all of you to offer such kindness and understanding of these feelings.

My baby girl Kayla is almost four. Anyone with children knows how much they can change your life. In my case, for many reasons, the youngest of my thee children changed me forever and made me (I hope) a better Mom to all of my children.

:}     Thanks so much for the love
