Silent moments, filled with sound
My mind roars in memory.
My love for you knew no bounds,
My thoughts of you with me.

Pride I took and nursed within,
To see you brightly gleam.
I willingly embraced that sin,
No hope for me it would seem.

My boasting would not abate,
Arrogance swelling my head.
I took risks I knew were too great,
The results I did not enough dread.

Long gone you are, along with my love
Time and age have changed us two.
Only dim memories remain my Dove,
As ethereal as a new summers dew.

But when reminded of you,
Those memories take hold of me,
I sigh and shed a tear or two,
For my lost schooner, in the sea.

(This is in response to a post by SEA, which inspired a seed of thought… )

Mac

I really like this Mac. It's good to see you being inspired by SEA, shes's great.
It just makes me think...sometimes no matter how much you love someone it just isn't enough for them. Great Write

a love at sea it seems, memories of love lost is tough..you might want to reduce the use of reverse syntax, I am trying to do the same, so the rhyme would proceed more naturally? just a thought. this is a lovely write

(sigh) So so sad, sweet friend, it too can be bothersome to try and love someone and they never feel like you want them to and are never satisfied! (sad sigh) So sad but beautiful, sweet friend, Susan is such a wonderful person and an angel to us all just as you are! (big hugggsssss) We all love you so much, sweet friend! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Mac, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
