Listening to every heart

0 posted 2002-01-06 05:45 PM

Celtic Tides and Warm Goodbyes

Let the wave of love
Wash o’er me
Play Erin’s music
Then soon to sea
For tide and time
No moment awaits,
Then meet me love,
By garden’s gate.

For across the sea
‘tis my time to fly
And soon, so soon
Shall white winds
Carry to me
Your sweet cry

Could you but
Hear my heart
This breaking sound
Would thus impart
The soft of flute
The sweetest air
For you are held,
With greatest care

For across the sea
‘tis my time to fly
And soon, so soon
Shall white winds
Carry to me
Your sweet cry

Let the leaves of
This green glen
Seek me softly
In memory when
You are torn
And sorrow filled
Send yon bird to sing,
I’ll then again be thrilled

For across the sea
‘tis my time to fly
And soon, so soon
Shall white winds
Carry to me
Your sweet cry

If but for a moment
You believe me gone
Then look to the stars
I’ll sit on one
I’ll be in your hair
By the sun’s light
I’ll be in your eyes
Each stormy night

For across the sea
‘tis my time to fly
And soon, so soon
Shall white winds
Carry to me
Your sweet cry.

*sigh* okay....this one just has to go into my library......it is such a masterpiece that I had to read it 3 times and each time I was left in awe. Absolutely wonderful writing.....it sings as if from the green clifts that your graphic shows. I love it. **big hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

This is not a poem
It is a song
Of love and of beauty
Melodic lyrics echoing off the Celtic hills
A stunning piece
Displaying once again how diverse your poetry

Well, if it is possible to have a favorite of yours, this might be it. Stunningly beautiful. I can't think of anything else worthy of it, to say.
