I wrote this upon receiving a prestigious award from a very well known poet site. I am might even have to public speak (FEAR) but I will struggle through it like with my writing, especially with your support. Blessing in the words that will take you on your trip To the perfection within your own mind. Let your mind flow with the power within To express the awesome creativity to float with the universe In the minds of the worlds readers For the world does not exist without the eyes that feel Blessing that the warmth you create Will create the garden within you That blossoms so much that you have to share it With the readers eyes in awe Creating those magic words That creates visions within the expanse Of an open mind dreaming Blessings for the dreams you create in others To see things in a different light To envision a feeling that reaches in so deep That the hurt is felt crawling inside you To take someone so deep within That they become bound To only release them in the flight of a bird Overseeing their expanse of sky With such freedom That their ever-seeing eye is energized Blessings I say to you Poets individually For it is up to you to spread the word For I am just a pawn in a game That uses words to share the thoughts within Open those worlds you share With those willing to read Create the fantasies that will stand the test of time Create in all temperatures And in all emotions possible In a million even billions of combinations Create your own magic Finally blessings I say to you poets For the feelings of the world Are always seen by the poets In the reality of this world A poet’s eyes are the true reflection Of what society is about For their eyes will share Every feeling known to man And then some For the conscience of history Will always be recorded in writing Some of the most note worthy In some sort of rhythm Within the mind of someone so special That they are called a POET D.Lester Young (01/06/02) Tuscaloosa, AL Copyright © D.Lester Young (White Eagle poetry) |

 BRAVO!!! I LOVE IT!!! (smiles) Poetry is the universal song of humanity, the echo that shakes through all our ears and in every tear that slides from our eyes and in every heartbeat we ignite. Hello White Eagle Congratulations on your great achievement! I am always touched by everything I read of yours and this was certainly no exception. I've always felt my words to be healing, not only to myself but hopefully to others as well.
