Hi you said,
what’s up tonight
I need to talk,
I said
Sure, you replied,
I’m listening
So please, go on right ahead.

Well, I’m sort of floundering,
I said
You said
“I know that feeling
it’s a common thing
It often makes my
Senses go reeling

You said
that life’s been tough for you
It’s lonely on your end of the phone
Your family doesn’t understand
Your need to be alone.

You said
you don’t feel connected
I offered my advice to you
Put it in words,
write it down
Perhaps you’ll discover
A different view

You thanked me then,
and had to fly
You said,
“someone needs me”
Goodbye I said,
be well my friend
see you in your poetry!

And still I have this feeling
Even more after all your chatter
When will someone listen to me?
Oh well,
I guess
it shouldn't matter

(sigh) Sooooooo compassionately beautiful, sweet friend, sometimes a talk with a friend is the best way to feel appreciated and listened to, and medicine to the heart! (sigh) I too have had these experiences in my boyhood! (kiss on cheek) Sooooooo touching, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

PDV,
Very few people have the talent to let it be about others ( that's probably why you're so popular). I try, alas, but I think ego should be counted as one of the four letter words.
Nice poem.

Oh to answer with an abundance of questions.  How useless as humans we somehow are.  That was a very talented writing my friend.  It makes one think about answers given.  Thank you for the great talent you just exposed me to.  Roger

it is good to have someone you can talk with.

Listening is a fine art, shows concern.  I try to listen when spoken to, but at times it’s hard to shut out the rest of the world.  More important is to hear what’s under those words.  Hope you find a listener.

We all need someone to talk to from time to time.  A good friend is usually the best for these kinds of things.  I hope you find someone to listen.  Well done.

To a good listener is an art and one that we seem to have lost the ability to do. Very well put. I hope you find a listener because sometimes we all really need to be heard. **big hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Thank you for your kind replies. And thank you for 'getting it'....I tried not to make it too obvious that, though I love to listen to my friends and help them, sometimes, I need to be heard too.

Well put Sharon, so true, you are a great listener, sheesh how many times have you been patient and listend to ME, many, too many to count. I thank you. I hope I've been somewhat a good listener for you in the past. If not then I will try my hardest to be.

enjoyed
