Fairy Queen Brighid – For Mysteria

~*~

Her name bridges over
Between Fairy and Queen
Some stories are real;
But some stories seem
To encompass a woman
Quite surreal
But she carried the light
And to that, we appeal

~*~

Lady of Healing, a
Woman who infused
Teas and wines,
And never refused
A giving hand, nor
Her laughter so fine
A talented woman
One quite refined.

~*~

Her wand of willow
Sometimes of birch
Held in her hand
Brought light to church
To be touched by her wand
Is to be resolute
Thus providing wisdom
To the more astute

~*~

She gave voice to mute,
Tapped dead to revive
Thus healed the sick,
And honored life
She is our muse,
A Keeper of flame
Enchanted are we
Who know her name

~*~

She was the moment
Between light, and dark
Her agents were prayer,
Sleep, water and bark
She heard all troubles,
Then cast them away
Thus healing one’s soul
So enlightenment stayed

~*~

Mysterious you think?
No, for I would entreat
You to read a bit,
Perhaps share her view
On living to love life,
a way to be, for she
Was a Patroness
Of all poetry.

~*~

Note:Mysteria wanted a poem
of a sad fairy, but I could not find one.
Fairies are either mischievous, or giving.
Some are quite naughty.
Either way, I hope this will
Still satisfy her request.

Satisfy you say?  Satisfy?  This was stupendously beautiful!  Oh and do I love the "willow wand line". You amaze me how quick you can whip these out. No actually you don't, for your soul and heart are so full, and it is meant to be shared.  Another I will absolutely treasure forever.

YAY!!! Oh my gosh, I love fairies, this is sooooooooo gorgeous and surreal with heavenly tone! (kiss on cheek) I too can never imagine fairies being sad, they can be mischievious and naughty, but always optimistic! (big hugggsssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, I just know she will cherish this forever, as you are all our sunshine! We all love you so much, sweet friend! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karilea, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

I have to tell you I followed your link to the Celtic Deities and have spent far to long reading, and not painting my bedroom here! Oh well! The painting can wait!  It was really very interesting, now how's about a series about all of them, and did you see that there will be about 300!  I am kidding of course unless you are so inclined that is

Mysteria, if I give you a poem, you want more...ah, and I had already thought to do a few more, but as all good things, [or so I would hope], they will come, with time, but glad you have enjoyed this...

Cat, I am so glad I added a little whimsey to your day...thank you...

Noah, I am still looking for a sad fairy...perhaps she just is waiting behind the cloud in my mind to appear...who knows...a new fairy for the generations...

Midnitesun, I will agree with you that Mysteria is an amazing pixie...

Nancy...you, my dear, are the Keeper...thank you...

Elizabeth, so you saw the similiarity too?  Good...I did not want to have tea alone...thank you...

Thank you Irish...Mysteria fits her name so well...popping up where you least expect her...

'Deer, that's a high compliment, and I thank you, Sir...

Startime...bless you for standing!
